Design meets decision.
Can a more compelling package justify its cost? An interactive experiment that turns creative preferences into commercial questions worth testing.
Three commercial strategies and three packaging finishes

Make the object irresistible.
Material Atlas uses a tactile botanical identity, editorial hierarchy, and a print-minded system for one fictional Citrus Grove beverage.

One product identity is preserved through Essential, Statement, and Collectible decoration hypotheses. Finish effects are proposed, not supplier-verified.
Make the consequence visible.
The folded-paper seam isn't decoration. It marks the moment a selected product crosses from creative intention into manufacturer economics.

The model separates retailer margin, a distributor service fee calculated on wholesale, a fixed manufacturer-funded promotional allowance, packaging, and other variable costs.
Separate arithmetic from assumptions.
The nine-path comparison applies the same assumed sales volume and shared channel economics while preserving each strategy’s independent price and base-cost inputs.

Qualitative recommendations are explicitly hypotheses. The application does not infer real consumer demand or claim a mathematically superior launch will win in market.
Commercial direction.
A working experience.
The creative system, financial model requirements, user journey, scenario definitions, and verification checkpoints were developed iteratively, with AI-assisted design and coding.
Production priorities: retain one recognizable signature motif, keep calculations independently testable, preserve strategic choices when switching paths, and allow desktop/mobile interactions without a backend. Calculation and strategy tests check the underlying model. The integrated version still needs a fresh device and usability review.
What remains unvalidated: real customer interviews, independently observed usability, assistive-technology testing, supplier quotes, decoration feasibility, and price acceptance.
All displayed figures are illustrative. Rendered packaging is concept art, not manufacturable dielines. The prototype processes inputs in the browser and does not send them to a server.
